Phuket’s Next Beach Club – Fira – Branding and creative direction

From restaurant naming, to logo design, marketing to interior consulting, it's all coming together - and now in 3D!

This project has been in the works for well over a year. Indeed, it is huuuuuuge! Below is a few of the renders we’ve been generating to get a better understanding of the space before it’s built. Follow the Fira Instagram for all the info towards opening (scheduled: October 2024)!

Update March 2025

This project is now up and running, checkout the full explanation of strategy and final design execution on this page.

I’ve been using SketchUp for years, but the renders always looked, well… shitty. I tried V-Ray—amazing results, but slow as hell and way too complicated for what I needed, or what i could get my head around. Then a friend, Cheers Ralph, put me onto Twinmotion, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer. Built on the Unreal Engine (the same one used for video games), it’s fast, intuitive, and makes everything look ridiculously good with barely any effort.

For this FIRA project, I used it to take my SketchUp models and turn them into proper 3D renders—real lighting, real materials, real atmosphere. The client got to see exactly how the space would feel before a single thing was built. And the best part? Twinmotion has pre-animated people, so I could drop in beach club guests already in their swimwear, drinks in hand, living the dream.
